Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set out the conditions for using the iOS app "Count Fill" (the "App") provided by Keiji Hirose (the "Operator"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

1. About the Service

The App reads your iPhone's battery level while it charges and narrates a countdown, in a voice you choose, of the percentage remaining until the phone is fully charged, alongside ambient background sound. No account, login, or personal registration is required or collected.

2. Device Information

The App reads your device's battery level and charging state through standard iOS system APIs solely to run the on-screen countdown and narration. This information is used only on your device and is not transmitted to the Operator's servers.

iOS only reports battery level in 5% steps, so the App estimates the numbers in between on your device. It may briefly disagree with the battery percentage shown in the status bar — this is expected behavior, not a malfunction.

3. Optimized Battery Charging

The App recommends enabling Apple's "Optimized Battery Charging" feature in iOS Settings, and links its narration timing to that feature's behavior. This is a feature of iOS itself, controlled by Apple, and the Operator makes no guarantee about when it pauses or resumes charging, or that it will match your actual wake-up time.

4. Use as a Clock, and Background Music

While charging, you can lay the App flat (landscape) so it also displays a large number and an analog clock, for use as a bedside clock. The ambient soundtrack shifts in stages from bedtime through waking, and, when Wi-Fi is available, rotates to different tracks day to day.

5. Optional In-App Purchase

The App offers an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase ("Remove Ads") that hides banner advertising. This is not a subscription and does not recur. Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store and managed through RevenueCat.

6. Advertising

Unless "Remove Ads" has been purchased, the App displays banner advertising (Google AdMob) to support its free operation. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.

7. Audio Content

All narration is performed by licensed synthetic voices. It does not represent any real individual's speech or opinion.

Narration audio is bundled with the App. Background music may be bundled or downloaded from the Operator's server, and is played back locally on your device.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
Interfering with the operation of the App, unauthorized access, or reverse engineering
Placing excessive load on the App's servers through automated tools or similar means
Any other act the Operator deems inappropriate

9. Intellectual Property

Intellectual property rights in the App and its text, images, audio, and design belong to the Operator or the rightful holders.

10. Disclaimer

The Operator does not guarantee that the countdown will finish at any particular time, or that it will align with your actual wake-up time.
The App may be changed, suspended, or terminated without notice.
The Operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the App, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location as the court of first instance.
