Terms of Use
These Terms of Use set out the conditions for using the iOS app "Hundred Penguins" (Japanese title: 南極の100ペンギン; the "App") provided by Keiji Hirose (the "Operator"). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
1. About the Service
The App is a puzzle game in which you steer an icebreaker through the Antarctic sea, pushing icebergs aside to bring penguins back to base. No account or login is required. The App is free to play and shows ads.
2. In-App Purchase (Remove ads)
- “Remove ads” is a non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription.
- Once purchased, the ads shown when you clear a stage no longer appear. Ads you choose to watch yourself (to get an extra captain) remain available.
- Payment, billing, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms. Please contact Apple about refunds.
- If you change devices, sign in with the same Apple ID and use “Restore Purchases” in the App.
3. Ads
The App shows ads (Google AdMob) to support its operation. The reward for a rewarded ad (one extra captain) is given when you watch the ad to the end. When ads appear and what rewards are offered may change without notice. For how ad-related information is handled, see the Privacy Policy.
4. Game Center
Leaderboards use Apple's Game Center. Your use of Game Center is subject to Apple's terms.
5. Game Records
Game records and settings are stored only on your device. The Operator cannot restore records lost because the App was deleted, the device failed, or for any other reason.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Conduct that violates laws or public order and morals
- Modifying or reverse-engineering the App, or using unauthorized tools
- Manipulating leaderboard scores by illegitimate means
- Interfering with the operation of the App
- Any other conduct the Operator deems inappropriate
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App and its text, images, pixel art, characters, music, logos, and other content belong to the Operator or the rightful owners.
8. Disclaimer
- The Operator does not guarantee that the App works correctly on every device or in every environment.
- The App may be changed, suspended, or discontinued without notice.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for any damage arising from use of the App.
9. Changes to These Terms
The Operator may update these Terms as needed. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction, in the first instance, of the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location.
