Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Keiji Hirose (the "Operator") handles information in the iOS app "Hundred Penguins" (Japanese title: 南極の100ペンギン; the "App"). The App requires no account or login, and does not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, email address, or phone number.
1. Information We Handle
| Information | Stored / sent to | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Game records and settings (best score, penguins delivered, sound, language, whether to show How to play) | On your device only (never sent) | Showing records, keeping settings |
| Whether you bought “Remove ads” | On your device (purchases are handled by Apple) | Deciding whether to show ads |
| Game Center scores (score when 100 penguins are delivered; penguins delivered) | Apple (only if you're signed in to Game Center) | Leaderboards |
| Device ID (such as the advertising identifier) and advertising data | Google (AdMob) | Serving and measuring ads (tracking only with your permission) |
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone audio, or personal information such as your name or email address. The App does not use analytics tools (such as Firebase or Google Analytics).
The App does not use the microphone. Because a component used to play sound includes recording features, iOS requires the App to include a microphone usage description, but the App never asks for microphone permission.
3. Ads and Tracking (ATT)
To support the App, we show ads using Google AdMob.
- Right after you tap “TAP TO START” on the first screen, iOS asks whether you allow tracking.
- If you allow it, AdMob may use the advertising identifier and similar data to show ads more relevant to you.
- If you don't, the App requests non-personalized ads.
- You can play the whole game either way. You can change this any time in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
For how Google handles information, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information in advertising.
4. Game Center
Leaderboards use Apple's Game Center. If you are signed in, your scores (score when 100 penguins are delivered; penguins delivered) are sent to Apple and handled under Apple's terms. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. In-App Purchase
The “Remove ads” purchase is processed through the App Store. The Operator never receives your payment information. The App only keeps a record on your device of whether you have purchased it.
6. Sharing with Third Parties
Apart from the data sent to Apple and Google described above, the Operator does not sell or provide information to third parties.
7. Deleting Your Data
Deleting the App removes all records and settings stored on your device. Scores sent to Game Center are managed by Apple.
8. Children
The App is not directed primarily at children of any particular age. If a child uses the App, we ask a parent or guardian to review this Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
The Operator may update this Policy as needed. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
10. Contact
